back in the hometown
Hello! I hope everyone is having a great Saturday :)
A lot has happened since my last blog post, one major change is that I’m no longer in Nasushiobara anymore :/ Last week I spent everyday packing and cleaning my apartment for the move back to my hometown in Aichi, where I’ll be staying until I start graduate school in the UK. My last month in Nasushiobara was both fun and bittersweet at the same time. Being away from work allowed me to spend time with former colleagues that have also parted from my previous company, friends from tennis, and a whole new group of friends thanks to a special someone (you know who you are) :) I’m extremely grateful for all the friendships I’ve made in my 3 years there and looking forward to how life reconnects us again! But sadly, for every new encounter there’s another goodbye I have to bear which is never easy to do. I’ve moved around various times in my life and should be used to farewells by now but nope, it’s still a tearful experience each time :/ I mostly affiliate work to Nasushiobara , but it’s been an important part of my life and I’m 120% sure I’ll be visiting real soon once restrictions are lowered :)
The big moving day was last Saturday and my parents and I drove a good 7 hours back to Aichi with my belongings and miscellaneous junk I’ve accumulated all stuffed in my car. We left around noon and arrived to my home around dinnertime safe and sound. It feels strange to be back in the house I grew up in for a small portion of my life, but I think I’ll adjust and learn to like it while I’m here. I do miss the lovely people and my apartment in Nasushiobara A LOT though! For the next few months I’ll be staying in Aichi spending time with family while working on my online internship, this blog, and UK prep. We are restricted to move around due to the rise in covid cases again so there won’t be a lot going on, but I’ll play my part and stay put until it’s safe.
I hope you’re all having a good weekend:)
