life stage 2

Happy end of August ☀︎ This month went by like a breeze! A lot has changed in my life these past few weeks, one being I’m no longer in Japan anymore! :/ I’m currently in the UK and today is day 3 of quarantine for me :) I’m staying at my sister Mina’s place while I quarantine, and the highlights of my days indoors so far are getting Nando’s for dinner and rollerskating in the apartment!
Rewinding back to before getting on my flight for the UK, I spent a lot of time with family, packed my suitcases up to the last gram I’m allowed, visited my grandparents which is always lovely, and even climbed Mt. Fuji with friends which was a great way to wrap up my time in Japan. (will share details during my quarantine period:)) My very last day in Japan was hectic with last minute shopping and repacking. I don’t really remember what took so long but I finally locked all of my suitcases up at 22:00 :0 I did get to enjoy my last meal of sushi and dumplings with my family that night so all was good at the end :)
The following morning at 5:30 am, my parents drove me to the airport in Nagoya, (barely made it in time to the airport), said my last goodbyes to mom and dad , and later on boarded my flight from Tokyo to London. The flight was more packed than I’d expected, but I had the whole row to myself so I was positioned horizontally for most of the flight :) 12 hours later I woke up to the view of London, saw Mina at the airport which was a relief, and took the train out to Cambridge. I’ll be in quarantine until Friday and will be a free bird from Saturday if my day 5 PCR test is negative. It still feels strange to be here, but I’m excited to explore the area once I can :)
