rain boots and sweaters

Happy Halloween! I hope you're all enjoying this Sunday with friends and family on this fun holiday. It was raining like crazy until a few hours ago but now the sun’s out as if it never rained! So far it’s been a slow morning, but I'm heading out on the Oxford Ghost tour later tonight which I've been excited about all morning:) Here’s a quick recap of what I’ve been up to in October.

It's gotten much colder and the days have gotten much shorter compared to last month. The sun now sets at about 18:00 so I spend a lot more time at home after lectures either cooking or doing uni work. This week marks the midway point of semester 1 which I still can't wrap my head around, but I turned in assignment #2 for the semester just last week which is such a relief. I spent all of last Friday locked up in my room the entire day working on it since my lazy bum waited till the last minute to properly type up the report! It’s not the best way to manage my time so I’m definitely going to start my engine earlier and not do that again…There's more assignments to come soon but this weekend I’m taking some time for myself to catch up on my own reading :)

I've also joined the badminton society and have been enjoying my weekly sessions on campus every Thursday. There's far too many members then the capacity of the gym so there's always some time to kill, but it's been fun chatting around with the others since they all come from different departments within the university. Some are usually on different campuses for lectures so it's been great getting to know people I would have never met if not for badminton!

I've also gotten to see Oxford much more now, and have done my fair share of touristy activities. Some of my favorites were spending time at bar that used to be a church and climbing a tower to see the view of Oxford from up top! There's still loads more I haven't gotten to explore so I'm hoping to check them out and share some more spots in the upcoming posts. Overall this month has been great and am looking forward to the last 2 months of 2021:)
