relocated!

Happy June!

I cannot believe it’s already reached June this year- time is flying way too quickly! I’ve been continuously busy in one way or another for some reason and hadn’t had the time to update the blog since now unfortunately. Recently I’ve been busy blowing my nose and avoiding the visible puffs of flower pollen floating around everywhere- anyone else experiencing the same? While I’m loving the sunny and bright days my nose is simultaneously facing struggles which drains the fun away of going outside but tis’ life! :) I haven’t been writing posts for a year now so figured I should get back to it now that I have some free time on my hands.

As per title of this post, after living in the lovely share house for 2 years and a few months in Oxford, I’ve moved homes to a small town a little further out of Oxford with Kylan :) We’ve now fully unpacked our boxes, but the move was a little hectic not to say the least! It all starts from finding potential options on Rightmove and booking in a viewing which already is competitive, especially in Oxford as there are always people looking for accommodation! We ended up viewing two other places before viewing our current apartment and was luckily offered a contract! From then the process was complete in under two weeks as our move in date was approaching very soon. After emails and signing papers, we finally went to pick up the keys which was a relief but the real work was moving everything in!

We moved all of our belongings and bought/ received the big furniture items in the one day we rented a van. In the end it was a good idea to get it all done in one day but it was a full day’s job and were exhausted by the end of it! After one more back and forth on the bus we’ve now finally settled in last weekend and sorted most of the essentials apart from a few kitchenware we still need to purchase. There are some problems with the kitchen plumbing and our bathroom door doesn’t close without locking the door, but overall the place is very nice with great natural light during the day in the living room and kitchen!

Commuting into Oxford now feels like I’m venturing into the city which is a new feeling I’m enjoying while we experience the slow life in the small town everyday. I’m hoping to post a few more about our life here so stay tuned :)
