twenty seven
It’s been some time since I wrote anything on here… I hope you’re getting the spring weather wherever you are and that the warm sunshine is putting smiles on your faces :) We’ve certainly had some amazingly sunny days this weekend in Oxford and it felt so nice to have 3 full days of sun for once!
I did mean to write a post in February, but it was a rough month with lots of ups and downs and mood swings in every direction possible so I decided to take a break from writing anything apart from university work which was taking up a lot of my time anyway. Apart from that, I was also applying to a few internship opportunities that were within my interest, started a virtual internship in mid-February for a month, went through an inconsistent wave of emotions almost everyday, pondered on what I’m doing after I graduate, and just taking a minute to breathe when I could! It was a full packed month to say the very least and it dragged on a bit more in the first few weeks of March, but I’m feeling a tad bit more hopeful compared to the beginning of February.
Very very unfortunately though, I did test positive for covid on the day of my birthday, but it’s been a nice reminder of how amazingly supportive the people I’m surrounded by are:) I’ve received some heartwarming videos, calls, and texts from friends and family back home, doorstep visits from my lovely uni friends, a surprise cake delivery from my sis in Cambridge, and a mini backyard coffee celebration with my fellow covid-positive flatmate :’) So despite unexpectedly getting covid, it’s been a good start to year #27 and hopefully it goes uphill from here. I’m triple vaxxed so the symptoms aren’t so bad, but I’ll spend this coming week in the house while sitting in on lectures via zoom and catching up on some reading.
Here’s a few snippets of Oxford before I started self-isolating this weekend. It’s amazing how lively the city can look when the sun is actually out! I hope you all stay safe and enjoy the week ahead :)
