recollection of february

I hope everyone’s had a relaxing weekend wherever you may be!

The week before was starting to get warm here in Oxford but it looks like we’re looping back into colder weather for the next few weeks ahead! The sun has been setting much later now so for that I’m thankful since I no longer have to dread cycling back in the dark after work :)

This month has wizzed by very fast starting with celebrating my dearest Gail’s birthday at the beginning of the month. We went out for drinks and a little dancing to end the night! Thanks to you Gail I finally got my foot into Hank’s and experienced what it feels like to have a beatbox inside my rib cage😂 I had a great time and it made me feel truly truly grateful to have you as a friend and now a colleague who I get to bug all day long:)

I also visited Mina and Ryan in Cambridge for the weekend which was packed full with eating lots of food, going to an escape room (highly recommend!), playing lots of board games, watching a partial game of rugby at the pub, and walking around the little city centre. Kylan joined in too which made it all the more fun and it made me happy that he finally got to meet 1/5 of the family. We also discovered a crafts market on Saturday which is probably one of my favorite things in the whole world!

Aside from the fun bits, there are times when I worry about where my long term goal is and what I should be doing to build the foundations of my future self- it’s been a constant worry in the back of my mind for a while now. I don’t think I’ll find the answers soon but will hopefully have a better understanding of it in the next few months even if it’s a vague picture of it. But for now, I’m trying to focus on the little wins like finding cafes with the best matcha lattes, finally eating the Thursday-only chicken and rice dish with Simone at our go-to Thai restaurant in Oxford, and going on weekend walks to feel the occasional sun peaking out from the clouds :)

I hope March brings warmer weather and some colors of spring🌸
